Please take note of the following tips before you arrive to The Surgery Center.
- Do not wear any makeup, cologne, jewelry (including wedding rings and pierced jewelry), lotion or nail polish.
- Take a shower or bath on the morning of surgery. When brushing your teeth, remember not to swallow any water or mouthwash. Spine surgeries require a pre-surgical soap before surgery. Please refer to surgeon instruction packet from their office.
- Wear comfortable, loose clothing. After surgery you may have a bulky dressing, so your clothes should be large enough to fit comfortably over it.
- Leave all valuables at home. SCFC is not responsible for any lost items. You may prefer to give valuables to an accompanying adult.
